It's as simple as choosing your class times, carving out that time for what's important and showing up. From there, we make it easy!
I signed up for a bootcamp at Granite City CrossFit in February 2016, having no idea what CrossFit was but always ready for a challenge. I’ve had gym memberships before, but going to a gym with no direction quickly got boring and I’d lose interest. I had run several obstacle course races and distances races and enjoyed being active but never had a focus. I entered bootcamp having no idea what most of the movements were and not knowing my abilities. I was nervous and doubted myself at times, but had a wonderful coach that kept pushing me and I started seeing results, physically and mentally. I started getting stronger and developed a competitive drive that motivated me in other parts of my life. As I grew as an athlete at Granite City CrossFit, a desire also grew to coach, so in July 2018 I obtained my CFL1. It has been a wonderful and inspiring journey sharing triumphs and achievements with members at GCCF and helping members continue to grow and push themselves.
